100 Families Vision Tour with Restore Hope

In late January 2025, For Others hosted the first 100 Families Vision Tour. We brought together state leaders from across the country to explore the groundbreaking 100 Families Model developed by our partner, Restore Hope. Restore Hope has profoundly impacted Arkansas, providing local solutions to problems in their communities, cities, and counties.

Since implementing the 100 Families Model in partnership with Arkansas DHS, Restore Hope has achieved incredible results. They’ve served over 3,300 families in crisis and reunified 68% of families who entered the initiative. This Model uses a coordinated, community-based approach to create a collective impact, empowering communities to prevent families from entering crisis.

How 100 Families Works

The 100 Families Model leverages existing county resources to help families transition from crisis to stability—and, ultimately, to thriving. Restore Hope’s HIPPA-compliant software, HopeHub, is at the heart of this coordination. HopeHub connects available community resources with individuals who need them.

A dedicated Community Coordinator facilitates this process, providing a framework for families to address issues holistically. They also ensure that the service providers involved maintain communication with each other. By fostering communication between service providers, 100 Families eliminates gaps in care, allowing families to address their root challenges with a clear, structured plan.

A Revolutionary Model

One of the biggest challenges that families in crisis face is awareness. In other words, many don’t know what resources are available. While communities may offer services like free clinics, DHS programs, or transitional housing, these organizations often operate without coordination. For example, a parent seeking stable housing might find temporary shelter but struggle to secure employment, keeping them in crisis.

The 100 Families Model bridges these gaps, pairing housing assistance with job training or other resources to create long-term stability. Instead of costly new infrastructure, 100 Families maximizes existing resources, making it both repeatable and scalable. HopeHub collects real-time data across 13 key need areas to identify what works and where gaps remain. With this information, Restore Hope tailors recommendations for each county, building community services strategically.

What is the Vision Tour?

Restore Hope’s 100 Families Model speaks for itself with its proven track record of success. Active counties saw the number of kids entering foster care reduce by 50%, as well as a 40% reduction in incarceration rates.

Arkansas’s tremendous results led state leaders nationwide to join us at the 100 Families Vision Tour. The informative and transformative experience accomplished two key goals.

  1. The Vision Tour connected state leaders and leading nonprofits with each other to explore the model in action. They broke down high-level collective impact strategies while also diving into the real-world logistics of implementation. Leaders exchanged best practices, troubleshot state-specific challenges, and received hands-on guidance from the Restore Hope team.
  1. State leaders were able to see the 100 Families Model in action. Journey Church in Russellville, AR, represents the gold standard of the 100 Families Model and offers a comprehensive support system, including transitional housing, a free medical clinic, life skills coaching, legal aid, and a food bank, all on one campus. While most counties don’t have all these services under one roof, the 100 Families Model ensures they still work together seamlessly.

If every community had coordinated services like Journey Church, it would transform the fabric of our nation—and that’s exactly what 100 Families aims to do.
